Description
To bring actuarial preparation to high school students in the New Orleans area, a group of UNOstudents in actuarial courses tutor and mentor high school students seeking to take an actuarial exam given by the Society of Actuaries. UNOstudents enhance their academic experience and benefit from potential teaching opportunities. High school students are motivated to pursue this path once they learn that passing an actuarial exam opens the doors to internships. Companies offering such internships typically provide strong financial support for students’ academic and career development.
