Description
The presentation outlines the service-learning option included in Dr. Keith Credo’s Principles of Management course in the McNeese College of Business. Student teams use the four principles of management (planning, leading, organizing, and controlling) to design/implement a fundraising project for a charity of their choice. Students take notes on their experiences, which culminates with each group presenting to the rest of the class their project results, as well as how they used concepts learned in the course. The program has been featured in local media and won the 2011 Pinnacle Excellence Award.
