Description
My work often explores the intersection between human attraction and revulsion through the depiction of humans interacting with giant insects. These two pieces exist as part of that exploration, but only peripherally. The individuals pictured have a relationship with one another, though they are separate drawings, and they relate to possible other players, not pictured, but their interactions seem to be limited to other humans. The decorative elements on their playing cards and elsewhere, however, point to an aesthetic development that might be different from ours, where bugs are a major part of the visual landscape. These drawings were completed with Micron pens on Bristol paper.
