Description

Hoffman Triangle, located in the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, continues to develop after Hurricane Katrina. To support the work that the neighborhood association and other groups are doing to improve the quality of life, WhoData.org and the University of New Orleans – Department of Planning & Urban Studies (UNO PLUS) are working with students to provide geographic information systems (GIS) services and support. The Hoffman Triangle PPGIS project is an example of how the University and its students can work together to monitor, evaluate and influence neighborhood change “from the ground up.”
