Description
Most of the world believes that a person pursuing a particular field is limited to his/her own field and is not creative in others. This brings the stereotypes who usually think that STEM major students are nerds and can do nothing except the geeky stuffs. And that is the wrong concept we all have to change. Our project is a reenactment of one of the scenes of a legendary movie by Quentin Tarantino: Pulp fiction. The project is prepared by five students, majority from engineering department, supervised by instructor from Math Department who like us is also a lot interested in acting. One of the reasons we worked on the scene is to showcase that creativity can come from anyone regardless of the major one is doing. Thus, one can’t generalize anyone’s specialties based on his/her major. Another reason for us to put up this act is to give Quentin Tarantino a tribute for his 5th ranked movie worldwide by IMDb which came more than 10 years ago. The movie is a paragon for people who admire methodical acting and dialogue delivery. Our 7 minute acting of one its scenes might inspire some people to produce similar legendary works like Pulp fiction in near future. Moreover, if we get chance to present ourselves in the InnovateUNO, we hope it will inspire people of STEM majors to bring out their hidden creativity so that they would not need to hold back against their own side interests.
