Description
This course surveys the critical and historical study of cultural and social theory. Theorists and schools of thought, including Marxism, functionalism, structuralism, historical materialism, world systems, critical theory, feminist social analysis, postmodernism, post-colonial theory, and globalization, will be examined in the course. This course is an advanced seminar for graduate students in the social sciences, humanities, or related disciplines. It is a required course for the doctorate in urban studies at UNO.
