Abstract
Scar Reveal is a collection of twenty-eight poems. The author arranges the poems in three sections that explore the family of origin and religion, mental health and mortality, and love and labor. The collection is preceded by a preface essay where the author discusses her relationship with poetry and how her poetics have developed throughout her mental health recovery and work as a therapist. The author also provides a brief overview of some selected craft techniques and influences within the manuscript.
