Description
Current day needs to lower the use of electricity has stimulated our interest in developing an automated lighting system. This system automatically turns on the lights in a building when people enter. Likewise, the lights are turned off automatically when people exit the building. The designed circuit utilizes NI Circuit Design Suite 12 to simulate and a prototype constructed on NI-Elvis-II platform to demonstrate its performance. Preliminary results show high potential for use of this design in the conservation of energy. This system is simple, expandable and can be integrated with other input/output devices for a more versatile usage.
