The University of New Orleans Honors Program is designed to challenge academically astute students, offer a curriculum that will prepare them for success in their respective fields, and reward those motivated and competitive enough to achieve high academic goals. Besides earning the distinction that accompanies academic success, honors students participate in small, challenging classes taught by select faculty. They also have the opportunity to contract with professors of regular classes to receive honors credit by fulfilling additional academic requirements. The senior honors thesis requirement allows students to immerse themselves in advanced independent study, utilizing the experience and guidance of their thesis adviser.
This collection offers users full-text access to undergraduate theses created by students in the University of New Orleans Honors Program, from December 2011 to the present.
Honors theses submitted prior to the Fall 2011 semester are available through the Louisiana Digital Library (see link at left), but are limited to on-campus users. The UNO Library’s Louisiana and Special Collections department also houses print copies for most theses produced between 1985 and 2008. These can be identified through the online catalog.
