Abstract

An audio drama, in BBC audio play format, that explores truth and lies in small town America through the eyes of a young woman, whom while grieving the death of a parent, visits her aunt in Nebraska only to discover a mysterious legend of a local man who is the source of the town people’s bad luck. She strives to uncover what is the truth beneath the gossip and prove that there is no supernatural connection to the strange, lonely man who seems to carry a curse. What she discovers makes her question what she believes about folklore, destiny, and death. Can she find the truth before the bad luck finds her?

Cast of 21 (9f, 8m, 4 any gender.) Actors may play multiple parts. Approximately one hour and fifteen minutes long.
