Abstract
Over the past decade, researchers have debated the structure of psychopathology given that the previously accepted structure, two factors, had some limitations. The current study used a growth model to assess growth in a three factor vs a two factor model of psychopathology from late childhood to early adolescence. Findings suggested that while temperament predicted initial levels of psychopathology, factors like peer relationships and demographics were more closely related to growth.
