Abstract

Set in Uptown New Orleans, this collection of short stories follows sisters Iris, Dahlia, and Poppy, as they navigate young adulthood and their codependent relationships with one another. As each sister experiences a unique versions of loss, tensions rise, and they are finally forced to make a decision: Do they continue their familiar, codependent living arrangements, or is it finally time for them to go their separate ways? After Poppy, Dahlia, and Iris’s chronicles come to end the collection features two stories from the fictional town of Stork, based on a smaller city in the Greater New Orleans area, and both female main characters happen to be close friends of none other than Poppy herself.
