Description
Edith Romero is an organizer, writer, researcher, and interpreter originally from Honduras. She came to the United States in 2011 on a scholarship to the University of New Orleans (UNO). Her background was rooted in direct experience with the consequences of US corporate and political intervention in Central America. Her professional and activist work in New Orleans focused on the intersection of immigrant rights, reproductive justice, labor organizing, and anti-surveillance technology. She held master's degrees from both UNO and Tulane University.
