Description

Ethan Ellestad, originally from Madison, Wisconsin, moved to New Orleans in 2009 to attend graduate school for Urban Development and Planning at the University of New Orleans (UNO). After graduating, he worked for the Foundation for Louisiana on community planning initiatives. His background was in urban planning, nonprofit management, and community organizing, not in musical performance. This skillset positioned him to handle the organizational and administrative work required to build MaCCNO from a grassroots movement into a formal nonprofit organization, where he served as a leader.
